Terms of service

Last updated: October 1, 2026

OVERVIEW

Welcome to SHIFT. These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your use of the SHIFT website and online store, including related content, features, tools, products, and services (collectively, the “Services”). The Services are operated by SHIFT Routine, referred to in these Terms as “SHIFT,” “we,” “us,” or “our.” Our website is https://www.shiftroutine.com. Shopify provides the commerce platform that powers our store.

Please read these Terms carefully. They include provisions concerning orders, returns, warranties, and limitations of liability. By using the Services or placing an order after being given notice of these Terms, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you should not use the Services or place an order.

Our Privacy Policy explains how personal information is collected, used, and disclosed. Acknowledging that policy does not replace any separate consent required by law.

Nothing in these Terms excludes, limits, or waives any consumer right, warranty, remedy, or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, limited, or waived. This protection applies throughout these Terms, including Section 9.

SECTION 1 — ACCESS AND ACCOUNT

You must be at least the age of majority in your state or jurisdiction of residence and legally able to enter into a binding contract to create an account or place an order. The Services are intended for adults.

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete account, contact, billing, payment, and shipping information, and to update it when necessary. You must be authorized to provide that information and use the payment method submitted.

You are responsible for protecting your account credentials and for activity you authorize through your account. Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization. These Terms do not limit rights you may have regarding unauthorized transactions. You may not sell, transfer, assign, or license your account without our written permission.

SECTION 2 — OUR PRODUCTS AND PRODUCT USE

SHIFT offers personal care products, including shampoo, conditioner, body wash, deodorant, and body cream. We aim to describe and display products accurately. Screen settings may affect displayed colors, and packaging may change. Any such differences do not remove your right to receive products that conform to the descriptions and express promises applicable to your purchase.

Fragrance preferences and individual experiences with personal care products vary. We do not promise that a particular scent or product will meet every personal preference. Any specific written product guarantee we offer remains subject to its disclosed terms and applicable law.

Read the ingredient list, directions, and warnings on the product before use, and use and store the product as directed. Personal care and fragrance ingredients can cause irritation or allergic reactions in some individuals. Avoid ingredients to which you know you are sensitive. Stop using a product if irritation or another adverse reaction occurs, and seek medical advice when appropriate. Contact info@shiftroutine.com to report a product concern or reaction. Nothing in this section releases SHIFT from responsibility for defective, unsafe, mislabeled, or misdescribed products.

General product and routine information on the Services is educational and is not individualized medical advice. It does not replace advice from a qualified healthcare professional.

We may update product listings, discontinue products, or impose reasonable purchase limits for future orders. We will not substitute a materially different product, size, or formulation in an accepted order without your agreement. If we cannot fulfill an order as agreed, we will contact you and provide any cancellation or refund required by these Terms or applicable law.

SECTION 3 — ORDERS, CANCELLATIONS, AND RETURNS

Placing an order is an offer to purchase the selected products. An automated acknowledgment confirms receipt of your order; acceptance occurs when we expressly confirm acceptance or dispatch the products, whichever occurs first. Payment authorization or collection alone does not constitute acceptance.

We may decline or cancel an order for a legitimate reason, such as unavailable inventory, an apparent pricing error, unsuccessful payment, suspected fraud, or a violation of disclosed purchase limits. We will notify you using the contact information provided. If we cancel an order for which payment has been collected, we will promptly refund the amount paid for the canceled portion, including associated taxes and any applicable shipping charges required to be refunded by law. We will not increase the price or make a material substitution without your agreement.

Review your order carefully before submitting it. To request a change or cancellation, contact info@shiftroutine.com as soon as possible. We may be unable to change or cancel an order once fulfillment has begun, except where cancellation is required by law.

Voluntary returns and exchanges are governed by the Refund Policy disclosed when you place your order. That policy explains eligibility, deadlines, product-condition requirements, return shipping, and refund procedures. It does not limit legal remedies for defective, damaged, incorrect, misdescribed, or undelivered goods. Changes to our voluntary return terms will not apply retroactively to an existing order.

Unless we agree otherwise in writing, purchases through this store are for personal or household use, including gifts, and are not for commercial resale or export.

SECTION 4 — PRICES, PROMOTIONS, AND PAYMENT

Prices and available discounts may change for future purchases. The currency, product prices, applicable taxes, and shipping charges for your order will be shown at checkout before you submit payment. A later price change does not change the price of an accepted order.

Promotions may have additional terms, such as eligibility requirements, expiration dates, purchase limits, or restrictions on combining discounts. Those terms will be disclosed with the promotion and control the promotion if they conflict with these Terms, subject to applicable law.

You authorize us and our payment service providers to charge your chosen payment method for the amount you approve at checkout. You agree to keep payment and contact details current so we can process your order and communicate with you. We may request reasonable verification or decline a transaction when payment cannot be verified or authorized.

Any recurring purchase arrangement, if offered, requires separately disclosed subscription terms and your express agreement to recurring charges before enrollment. These Terms alone do not authorize recurring billing.

SECTION 5 — SHIPPING AND DELIVERY

Available delivery destinations, shipping charges, and any stated processing or delivery estimates are disclosed through the Services or at checkout. You are responsible for providing an accurate and complete delivery address.

Unless expressly stated as guaranteed, delivery dates are estimates. Carrier disruptions, severe weather, and other events may affect delivery. These circumstances do not eliminate our legal obligations concerning shipment, delay notices, cancellation, or refunds.

We will ship within the time stated when you order or, if no shipment time is stated, within the period required by applicable law. If we cannot ship within that time, we will provide the required notice, seek your agreement to a delay where required, and provide any cancellation option or prompt refund required by law.

For orders we arrange to ship, risk of loss remains with SHIFT until delivery to you or your designated recipient at the delivery address. Title passes upon delivery, subject to payment. Any greater protection provided by applicable law remains available to you.

If an order arrives damaged, contains an incorrect item, or appears lost, contact info@shiftroutine.com promptly with your order number and available details. We may request reasonable information to investigate and arrange an appropriate remedy. A carrier scan alone does not eliminate rights you may have for an undelivered order. A request to report a problem promptly does not shorten a legally applicable claim period.

SECTION 6 — INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

The Services contain text, photographs, graphics, logos, videos, audio, designs, and other materials owned by SHIFT or used with permission from their owners. These materials are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Customers retain ownership of their reviews and other content, subject to Section 11.

You may browse the Services and save or print information reasonably needed for personal shopping, product use, or order records. Except as permitted by law or expressly authorized by us, you may not reproduce, distribute, modify, sell, or commercially exploit protected materials from the Services.

SHIFT names, logos, and other brand identifiers may not be used in a manner that infringes our rights or falsely suggests affiliation or endorsement. Shopify and other third-party names and logos belong to their respective owners. These Terms do not restrict lawful commentary, reviews, or other uses permitted by law.

SECTION 7 — OPTIONAL THIRD-PARTY TOOLS

The Services may include optional tools supplied by independent third parties. Those tools may be subject to the provider’s separate terms and privacy practices, which you should review before using them.

To the extent permitted by law, optional third-party tools are provided “as is” and “as available,” and we do not make additional warranties about tools we do not operate or control. Nothing in this section excludes responsibility for our own conduct or obligations that cannot lawfully be excluded.

New features we introduce are subject to these Terms and any additional terms disclosed for those features.

SECTION 8 — THIRD-PARTY LINKS

The Services may link to independent websites or include content from third parties. A link does not by itself mean we endorse that website, its content, or its products. We do not control independent third-party sites and are not responsible for their operations except as required by law.

Review the relevant third party’s terms and privacy practices before providing information or making a purchase. Questions about purchases made directly from an independent third party should be directed to that seller. Questions about an order placed with SHIFT should be directed to SHIFT.

SECTION 9 — RELATIONSHIP WITH SHOPIFY

SHIFT is powered by Shopify, which enables us to provide the Services to you. However, any sales and purchases you make in our Store are made directly with SHIFT. By using the Services, you acknowledge and agree that Shopify is not responsible for any aspect of any sales between you and SHIFT, including any injury, damage, or loss resulting from purchased products and services. You hereby expressly release Shopify and its affiliates from all claims, damages, and liabilities arising from or related to your purchases and transactions with SHIFT.

SECTION 10 — PRIVACY AND COMMUNICATIONS

Our Privacy Policy explains our handling of personal information. Shopify also processes personal information in connection with hosting the store and providing its services. See the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy for information about Shopify’s practices.

Information may be processed by Shopify and service providers in countries other than your country of residence, as explained in the applicable privacy policies and subject to applicable law. Our Privacy Policy controls over these Terms regarding our collection, use, and disclosure of personal information.

We may send communications needed to manage your account, fulfill orders, or respond to your requests. Marketing communications are subject to applicable consent and opt-out requirements. Accepting these Terms or placing an order does not, by itself, constitute consent to receive marketing text messages.

SECTION 11 — REVIEWS, FEEDBACK, AND CUSTOMER CONTENT

If you submit a review, photograph, suggestion, or other content for publication through the Services (“Feedback”), you retain ownership of it. You grant SHIFT a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, display, distribute, and make reasonable formatting edits to that Feedback to operate and promote the Services. We may permit service providers to exercise these rights on our behalf for those purposes. This license continues while the Feedback is used for those purposes, subject to applicable law and any rights explained in our Privacy Policy.

We will not materially change a review’s meaning or present it in a misleading way. This license does not cover private customer-service correspondence, payment details, or medical information submitted privately, and does not authorize use of your identity as an endorsement beyond the Feedback you provided for publication. We will seek any additional permission required by law for a proposed use.

You represent that your Feedback reflects your honest experience, that you have the necessary rights to submit it, and that it does not infringe another person’s rights. Disclose any material connection to SHIFT, including free products, payment, or other incentives received in connection with a review.

We may remove content that is unlawful, fraudulent, threatening, harassing, obscene, unrelated to the relevant product or experience, contains private information, infringes another person’s rights, or includes malicious code. We will not prohibit, penalize, or remove an otherwise lawful, honest review solely because it is negative.

Unless separately agreed, we are not obligated to pay for Feedback or respond to every submission. Do not submit material you expect us to treat as confidential through a public review feature.

SECTION 12 — ERRORS AND CORRECTIONS

We may correct inaccurate or incomplete information about products, prices, promotions, shipping, or availability. Corrections to the website do not automatically change an accepted order or remove your legal rights.

If an error materially affects your order, we will contact you and, where appropriate, offer to proceed on corrected terms with your agreement or cancel and promptly refund the affected purchase. We will not charge an increased amount without your authorization.

SECTION 13 — PROHIBITED USES

You may use the Services only for lawful purposes. You must not:

  • Commit fraud, impersonate another person, or provide information you know is materially false.
  • Infringe intellectual property rights or unlawfully disclose another person’s private information.
  • Harass, threaten, or abuse customers, employees, or others.
  • Upload malware, attempt unauthorized access, disrupt the Services, or bypass security or access controls.
  • Send spam or other unauthorized solicitations through the Services.
  • Collect other users’ personal information without a lawful basis and any required permission.
  • Scrape, copy, or commercially exploit the Services using unauthorized automated tools.
  • Evade purchase limits, manipulate reviews, or misuse discounts or payment processes.

Ordinary browsing, accessibility tools, and other lawful personal use are permitted. Automated agents are subject to Section 14. Nothing in these Terms prohibits honest consumer reviews, lawful complaints, or reporting concerns to a regulator.

SECTION 14 — AUTOMATED AGENTS

An “Agent” is software or a service that takes autonomous or semi-autonomous action on someone’s behalf when accessing or interacting with the Services.

An Agent may access the Services only through a channel we expressly support for that purpose or with our prior written permission. Compliance with the identification requirements below does not, by itself, grant permission to access the Services.

An authorized Agent must identify itself as automated and disclose its name. For HTTP or HTTPS requests it controls, it must include “Agent/[agent name]” in its user-agent string. It must not conceal its automated nature, impersonate a human, bypass a CAPTCHA or other access control, or falsely answer a question about whether an interaction is automated.

Agents must respect applicable permissions, technical restrictions, purchase limits, and instructions to stop accessing the Services. We may limit or revoke Agent access. A person using an Agent remains responsible for actions and purchases they authorize, subject to applicable protections for unauthorized transactions.

SECTION 15 — SUSPENSION AND TERMINATION

We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary to address a breach of these Terms, fraud, a security risk, a legal requirement, or discontinuation of the Services. Where practical and legally appropriate, we will provide notice. You may stop using the Services at any time.

Termination does not extinguish valid payment obligations already incurred or your rights relating to accepted orders, refunds, warranties, or other remedies. If we cancel an outstanding order, Section 3 applies.

Provisions that by their nature need to continue will survive termination, including intellectual property rights, licenses for Feedback already submitted, accrued payment and refund obligations, applicable warranty and liability provisions, indemnification, and dispute provisions. Personal information remains subject to the applicable Privacy Policy and law.

SECTION 16 — DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES

TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE WEBSITE AND ITS OPTIONAL DIGITAL FEATURES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT ACCESS WILL ALWAYS BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE. TO THAT SAME EXTENT, WE DISCLAIM IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT FOR THOSE DIGITAL FEATURES.

THIS DISCLAIMER DOES NOT APPLY TO EXPRESS PROMISES OR WARRANTIES WE MAKE ABOUT PRODUCTS, ANY WRITTEN PRODUCT WARRANTY, OUR OBLIGATION TO SUPPLY PRODUCTS AS DESCRIBED, OR ANY WARRANTY OR CONSUMER RIGHT THAT CANNOT LAWFULLY BE DISCLAIMED. PRODUCT WARRANTIES AND REMEDIES REQUIRED BY LAW REMAIN AVAILABLE.

We do not guarantee a particular subjective fragrance preference or individual cosmetic result unless we expressly make that promise. This does not excuse a defective product or an inaccurate or misleading product claim.

SECTION 17 — LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SHIFT AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, SERVICE PROVIDERS, AND LICENSORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM USE OF THE SERVICES, INCLUDING LOST BUSINESS PROFITS OR REVENUE, EVEN IF ADVISED THAT SUCH DAMAGES WERE POSSIBLE.

THIS EXCLUSION DOES NOT APPLY TO LIABILITY FOR PERSONAL INJURY OR DEATH, FRAUD, WILLFUL MISCONDUCT, GROSS NEGLIGENCE, OR ANY LIABILITY THAT CANNOT LAWFULLY BE EXCLUDED. IT DOES NOT LIMIT OUR OBLIGATION TO PROVIDE REFUNDS OR OTHER REMEDIES REQUIRED BY LAW OR UNDER AN APPLICABLE EXPRESS WARRANTY OR GUARANTEE.

Where applicable law does not permit an exclusion, that exclusion will not apply to you. Nothing in this section eliminates a claim for direct damages otherwise available under applicable law.

SECTION 18 — INDEMNIFICATION

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to reimburse SHIFT and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and service providers for reasonable losses, liabilities, and legal expenses resulting from a third-party claim to the extent caused by your unlawful conduct, your infringement of that third party’s rights, or your material breach of these Terms. This obligation does not arise merely because you browse the store, make an ordinary purchase, or submit an honest review.

You are not required to indemnify anyone for losses caused by their own negligence, misconduct, breach of these Terms, or violation of law. We will provide reasonably prompt notice of a claim and a reasonable opportunity to participate in its defense. A failure to give prompt notice reduces your obligations to the extent it materially prejudices your defense.

We will not agree to a settlement that requires payment, an admission, or another obligation from you without your prior written consent. You will not settle a claim in a manner that imposes an obligation on SHIFT without our prior written consent. Neither party will unreasonably withhold consent to a reasonable settlement.

SECTION 19 — SEVERABILITY

If a provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, it will be severed or limited only as permitted by law. The remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent they can operate lawfully and consistently with the purpose of this agreement.

SECTION 20 — WAIVER AND ENTIRE AGREEMENT

A failure or delay by either party to enforce a provision does not waive that party’s right to enforce it later.

These Terms, the policies expressly incorporated into them, and any applicable order-specific or separately accepted terms form the agreement between you and SHIFT regarding the Services. They do not override express product warranties, representations or promises that are legally binding, or nonwaivable rights.

Specific terms disclosed and agreed for a purchase control that purchase where they conflict with general terms, subject to applicable law. Privacy matters are governed as described in Section 10.

SECTION 21 — ASSIGNMENT

You may not assign your contractual rights or obligations under these Terms without our written consent, except as permitted by law. This does not prevent ordinary gifting of a purchased product or the exercise of legally transferable warranty rights.

We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, reorganization, sale of the business, or transfer of relevant assets, provided that the transfer does not reduce your existing contractual or statutory rights. We will provide any notice required by law.

SECTION 22 — GOVERNING LAW AND DISPUTES

These Terms and disputes arising from them are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois and applicable United States federal law, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. This choice does not deprive a consumer of mandatory protections available under the law that would otherwise apply.

Subject to any mandatory right to bring a claim in another forum, you and SHIFT agree that disputes may be brought in the state courts located in Peoria County, Illinois, or the federal courts serving that county, and consent to their jurisdiction. Nothing in this section limits any available right to use small claims court or to contact a government agency.

You may contact info@shiftroutine.com to seek an informal resolution. Contacting us is encouraged but is not a mandatory prerequisite to exercising legal rights or filing a claim.

SECTION 23 — HEADINGS

Headings are included for convenience and do not change the meaning of these Terms.

SECTION 24 — CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We may revise these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page, identify its effective date, and provide notice of material changes as required by law. Where additional agreement is required, we will obtain it before applying the change to you.

Changes apply prospectively from their stated effective date. The Terms applicable when an order is accepted continue to govern that order unless you agree otherwise or a change is required by law. Changes do not retroactively remove rights relating to an existing dispute.

Your continued use after the effective date may constitute acceptance where legally permitted and where adequate notice has been provided. If you do not agree to revised Terms, stop using the Services; existing order and statutory rights remain unaffected.
